The Secret Vines Experience is an intimate wine tour of Greater Port Macquarie, led by a recognised wine expert. You’ll visit a selection of local vineyards, enjoy tastings, and learn about the region’s wines in a relaxed, personal setting.

What’s included in the tour price?

Accepted Answer

Your tour includes tasting fees, bottled water, crackers, local knowledge, flexibility in the day’s plan and, of course, great conversation. Transport from and back to your accommodation is also included.

How many people are on each tour?

Accepted Answer

Tours are limited to 4 guests. This is not a big bus tour – it’s a small, stylish experience designed to feel personal and authentic.

Which wineries might we visit?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the day and opening hours, we may visit a mix of larger and smaller cellar doors such as Cassegrain, Douglas Vale, Long Point and Innes Lake. We usually visit 3 or 4 of these top-rated wineries.

Question 5

What does a typical day look like?

Accepted Answer

You’ll be picked up from your accommodation in a luxury Audi, then travel along charming country lanes to visit 3–4 of the region’s best cellar doors. You’ll enjoy tastings, local stories and, if you choose, a relaxed lunch, before being dropped back at your accommodation with your wine purchases.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included in the tour price. You can bring a picnic (rug supplied), enjoy a cheese platter after browsing a boutique gallery, or dine at one of the winery restaurants. Cassegrain and Long Point have dining options. We can help you book ahead, and you simply pay the venue directly.

Are there any mobility or fitness requirements?

You’ll need to be reasonably ambulatory. Some vineyards are accessed via unmade paths, staircases and uneven ground. If rain is forecast, please bring suitable footwear and rainwear or an umbrella.

Question 8

What should I bring on the day?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing and shoes, any rainwear you might need, and payment (cash or Osko Transfer) or cash or card for lunch and any extra purchases such as wine or liqueurs. And of course, a willingness to be delighted!
